Failure Saint Louis Concert reviews
Weezer
I bought a ticket and decided to go anyway for my wife's birthday, despite not being a huge Failure fan myself. Given my love for a good live show, she assured me that they were terrific live and she wasn't lying.
The drinks were an absolute rip-off, WAY overpriced. A short Jack and Coke (1oz of booze measured out) and a decent sized (maybe 16 oz.) beer ran me $20.
The band merch was in line with what I usually pay, $30 for a t-shirt, which is actually $5 less than what I'm used to.
The security was on par with other live shows I've been to here, always alert and scanning the crowd, ready when someone crowd-surfed to the front.
We parked in the Qwest Field garage and I would recommend that anyone do the same. $11 to park, and the security was regularly walking the perimeter.
The place was packed, but we found it relatively easy to get to the front of the crowd compared to the metal shows I usually frequent. The crowd was a lot of fun, with a lot of timid teenagers politely moving out of the way so we could get closer. No fighting, or pushing, and only a few a-holes trying to ruin the show for others, but they were dealt with pretty rapidly.
All in all, I'll keep coming back to this great venue to see a gen-admin show.
